# Tattoo booking-form field study — methodology

Version: 1.0.0
Review date: 2026-07-23
Publisher: Patchwork Tattoos

## Research question

Which project details appear on public tattoo booking, request, inquiry, and consultation pages?

## Sample

The study uses 30 English-language, publicly accessible artist or studio intake pages. Sources were found with generic booking, request, inquiry, and consultation searches, with neutral city modifiers where needed.

Software vendors, form templates, directories, social-only profiles, consent-only forms, and pages requiring login were excluded. Target field names were not inclusion criteria.

## What we checked

Eleven project fields were coded:

- design description
- placement
- size
- reference images
- body-placement photo
- style
- color
- budget
- availability
- cover-up status
- age confirmation

`Present` means the public page asked for the item. `Absent` means the complete visible form was reviewed and the item was not listed. `Unresolved` means part of an embedded or linked form could not be read.

Every percentage shows the number of readable pages used for that detail. A page with an unreadable section is left out of that one total.

## Limits

The results describe the 30 public pages listed in the source file and the wording visible on the review date. Artists may collect more information later by email, direct message, phone, or in person.

## Corrections

Public pages change. Send the source URL and specific correction to support@patchwork-tattoos.com.
