Blackwork Compass Forearm Tattoo
A crisp compass rose makes a centered blackwork forearm emblem.

Inner forearm tattoos face the wearer and usually suit a vertical design around 3 to 7 inches long. The flatter central area gives script, botanicals and narrow symbols a clear reading direction, while the wrist and elbow folds need breathing room. Long sleeves cover this spot easily; a rolled cuff reveals it immediately. Start with the clean design to judge line weight and overall proportions. The current on-skin view uses the outer forearm Builder base, so treat it as a scale check and let your tattoo artist position the final stencil on the inner arm. Designs are previewed on the forearm template.
Builder placements: Forearm. Every piece opens in Remix or enters the Builder as the matching reviewed asset.
Read the silhouette first, then check how the same lines sit on the suggested body area.

Placement decides scale. Pick the inner forearm design whose silhouette matches the space you actually have, then leave enough skin around it for the next piece.
Measure the gap
Check the on-skin preview against your own inner forearm: a design that fills the whole area leaves no room for a patchwork neighbour.
Match the direction
Vertical pieces follow the limb; round emblems sit on joints and centerlines. Rotate the design in the Builder until it reads naturally on the inner forearm.
Keep negative space
Patchwork works because each piece stays separate. Keep at least a finger of clear skin between this design and the next one.
